It’s really important that we’re all aware of the wonderful opportunities that the internet brings, but also its potential pitfalls, so that we can use it sensibly.
Internet Safety Day is a day dedicated to understanding how to stay safe on the internet. It’s promoted by the UK Safer Internet Centre and My Life are official supporters of the event.
The day itself was actually held on Tuesday 5th February, but don’t worry, My Life took part and we’re giving you access to a link below that has a whole host of useful information on how to stay safe.
As part of the day we promoted how to stay safe online through our learning programmes and gave our staff all the resources that they need to ensure their safety too.
Issues such as the type of information that you share on the internet and who you think you’re communicating with are all very relevant. If you’d like to find out more about how to help yourself and others stay safe, you can visit the UK Safer Internet Centre website for more information.
