Royal Street Party

Royal Street Party

To acknowledge The Queen’s 90th Birthday, we are hosting a Royal Street Party on Sunday, 5 June to celebrate Her Majesty’s life over the last 90 years.

It will include a royal buffet, which resonates with what the finest people ate at the coronation celebration meal. There will also be live music, dancing, fun and games, as well as a chance to see the coronation art work from across the local community.

It’s taking place at our Standish base at Thompson House Equestrian Centre from 1pm to 4.30pm. Everyone is welcome, cost is just £2.50 per person to cover the cost of the food (free for children under 5 years).

Please note: This is a ticket only event. To buy your ticket, call in at either our Standish or Leigh base. Or, send a cheque with a self-addressed envelope and we will post out to you.

Transition and Beyond event

Transition and Beyond event

My Life will have an information stand at Wigan Council’s Transition and Beyond event on 12 April, from 1pm to 6.30pm. It’s a free information day for young people with disabilities and their families.

We will be bringing with us lots of information about all the activities we have available at both our Standish and Leigh sites, as well as the short breaks we provide.

Some of our learners from our Leigh site will also be serving refreshments, so don’t be shy pop over and say hello!
