• Creating a Community Where Everyone Belongs

Free training!

Would you love to work in social care, or become a volunteer and make a real difference to your community? If so, we are now taking applications for our next Pathways to Employment training course.

We have recently received funding from Wigan Council to re-run this FREE 5-day training course that will take you on an exciting journey, exploring the values of social care and enabling you to meet potential employers. We will build up your self-confidence and then match you into a paid job or the voluntary work that you want. The course has an amazing reputation and a high success rate, and no experience is necessary.

It’s being held at Thompson House Equestrian Centre, off Pepper Lane, Standish, Wigan from 9.30am to 4pm on 14, 21, 28 March and 11 and 18 April 2015.

To find out more, register for our introductory session on Saturday, 21 February from 10am to 12 noon at Thompson House.

Try our tasty lunches

We are now in a position to offer our visitors hot and cold lunches, as well as morning and afternoon tea, coffee and cakes.

For a small donation towards the cost of the ingredients, we have on offer tasty home-made blended soups, crusty baguettes and wraps. You will also be able to sample food cooked by guests on our Cook-Along courses.

And the great news is that all recipes will be in the My Life cookbook, to be published later in the year.
